Training part of the mission started during the first season of KSAM 2004 and contained introduction to geophysics – preliminary presentation of the results for colleagues, introduction to the site management (collecting the finds, systematic sampling of biological material, field drawings, feature lists, registration lists, etc.), introduction to geodesy and usage of total station for the needs of archaeology (training of Mr Jassem Al-Shemali by Mr Martin Bartík), introduction to environmental research (collecting the samples, flotation, registration of paleoenvironmental material).
Second training part of the mission and at the same time second joint excavation season has been realized in summer 2005 in northern Slovakia where 4 Kuwaiti colleagues took part at excavation and survey of Bronze and Iron Age and Migration Period sites in Liptov region.
